eurolanguage translation agency – an excellent team
All our expertise is devoted to your task.
A powerful team is not created overnight. I, Martina Schmid, founder and managing director of eurolanguage Fachübersetzungen, have been working with most of my translators for a very long time. We all share an enthusiasm for the interplay between languages in all their nuances and a love for one time-honoured value: perfection.
And you as a customer benefit from this in two ways: firstly, you receive an excellent translation and secondly, you score points with your international business partners with first-class texts that always present your product, your website, your service in the best light.
What is it that sets our team apart?
Personal contact, respect and appreciation, in short, team spirit in its traditional sense: This is extremely valuable and can be seen in the quality of our work. Because each of us knows what she or he is working for. In addition to their excellent language skills, eurolanguage’s translators are marked by their willingness to engage in dialogue. We respond specifically to our customers’ wishes, discuss the target group and text intention with them, and our language professionals are fully committed to your international communication. That is the quality promise of eurolanguage Fachübersetzungen. What sets us apart: Uncomplicated handling of your order combined with a high state of professionalism.
On this page we would like to introduce you to some of our long-standing regular translators, including a photo. This is a small glimpse behind the scenes, because we want you, the customer, to see that we are not an anonymous, virtual translation agency. In addition to technical expertise, constructive consultation, exchange and team spirit are the strengths of our team of translators.
Of course, there are many more capable and diligent translators than those shown here who work for eurolanguage. Over the years, I have built up an international network of partners, and the radius has become ever larger. For more ‘exotic’ requests, I can fall back on a network of proven contacts: native speakers from numerous countries and with the most diverse specialisations.

A brief look behind the scenes – the following translators have been part of our team for many years:
PIERRE: Our Lucky Pierre focuses on website translations and texts for the tourism and culture industry from English into French. Working with him is always fun: Pierre is a well-travelled cosmopolitan and always has a song on his lips. He writes beautiful, thought-provoking songs and has released 4 CDs of his own. The most recent one, composed in the crisis year 2020, has the meaningful title “Wake Up”.
RICCARDO: Technical and financial translations in the area of economics and the stock exchange from German and English into Italian. Despite this being a rather dry specialist field, working with Riccardo always comes with a good dose of humour. Thanks to his 4 daughters he is highly stress-resistant. He relaxes by cooking for family and friends: Pasta Italiana naturalmente.
EVA: Translations from Albanian into German, with a focus on culture and regional studies. Eva has lived in Albania for a long time and gotten to know the country and the culture and way of life there. “A wonderful time and a great experience,” she says. She’s still in close contact with many of her friends and even at home she keeps up the “Turkish coffee drinking” ritual with friends, which is widely celebrated in Albania.
SUSANNE: As our indefatigable eagle-eyed German proofreader, she questions everything and drills down on verbal perfection to the finest detail. She’ll tirelessly weigh exact nuances of meaning, examining pros and cons, and she usually turns out to be correct (99 percent). Her hobbies include reading and travelling, and her fitness regimen in the summer includes swimming in the Danube in the mornings. She enjoys yoga and hiking all year round… and of course reading, always lots and lots of reading.
MECHTHILD: Sworn (certified) translations from English and French into German. Her area of expertise: law. She’s been part of the eurolanguage team since the very beginning. We appreciate Mechthild not only for her excellent translations, but also her fierce formatting skills. When it comes to complicated tables or balance sheets, she always manages to make a finished translation look exactly like the original.
PEGGY: Peggy is our particularly creative and accurate marketing translator from English and German into French, though her expertise also includes software and IT. One of her favourite hobbies is diving, because under water the world is so vivid and colourful. She starts her day with a croissant and a café au lait – it’s the only way! Her huge garden is not quite Versailles, but it’s still very impressive.
CLAUDIA: A sworn translator with many years of experience, Claudia covers translations from Spanish into German for the courts in Spain and Germany. She commutes between Cologne and Madrid, and she always has her certification stamp on hand. Her four enchanting children are almost grown up and keep her on her toes not just in terms of “youth language”. Even when things get hectic, we can’t help but admire how she keeps her calm and maintains a perfect overview.
BARBARA: Our translator into Slovenian, Barbara has a great eye for detail. She loves to relax by hiking, mountain biking, cycling in the countryside. Protecting the environment and the climate is particularly close to her heart. She currently lives in Vienna, but she occasionally misses her time in the more internationally positioned Brussels. On the other hand, she finds it much easier to visit her family in Slovenia from Vienna. And Martina isn’t far away either. :-)
GABRIELE: Certified, sworn translator from German into Spanish and vice versa. She has not only visited many countries in Latin America, but also lived there for a long time. She captures the experiences, moods and encounters of her travels in poems and multi-faceted articles. Last but not least she paints beautiful pictures; her paintings are displayed in gallery exhibitions twice a year.
VEERLE: Translator for English and German into Dutch. Veerle deserves a trophy for her masterful research skills, since she pores over every technical term in detail. She travels between the Netherlands and her adopted home country of England. Sometimes she misses the casual Dutch way of life while she’s surrounded by the more restrained English locals. Fortunately, thanks to the Eurotunnel, the Netherlands are never too far away.
GABI II: The second Gabriele in our team is a conference interpreter and translator as well as a sworn court interpreter for German, Spanish and Russian. She switches back and forth between languages with such speed and competence that you sometimes get tongue-tied just by listening to her speak. As an early riser, her days in summer begin with the dawn’s first birdsong. Her motto: “The early bird catches the worm.”
TANSY: Translations from German into English. Tansy works on topics from A for architecture and automotive engineering to M for marketing and Z for customs regulations. She’s always reliable and enjoys her work very much. In her free time you won’t find her at home – she’ll be cycling, dancing, in a yoga studio or even in faraway countries. Travelling and exploring other cultures, being curious, open-minded and positive about the world and being right in the middle of it, that is her credo.
ANNEMARIE: As a translator from English into German, covering contract translations and the law in all its facets, Annemarie constantly and tirelessly supports our work, and we are infinitely grateful to her for all her night shifts. Despite all her hard work, she still finds time for charitable purposes and institutions – children who have been disadvantaged in life are especially close to her heart. Her journeys have taken her to the remotest corners of the East, including Kazakhstan, Romania and Mongolia.
We’re constantly expanding our team in line with our exacting standards and requirements. Only the best candidates make it into our team: we check the educational background and linguistic and professional competence of applicants very carefully, but additional skills and areas of expertise are also important to us. And of course, all team members must be prepared to go that famous “extra mile” for our customers.

How passion evolved into a profession.
“Flamma flagrat – flammae flagrant.” This flame was ignited many years ago while learning first-year Latin in the venerable buildings of the ‘humanistischen Rabanus-Maurus’ grammar school in Mainz, Germany. The book ‘Ludus Latinus’, a textbook for Latin as first foreign language, seemed quite antiquated but at the same time aroused tremendous respect in me. The German part of the book was set in Gothic script, it contained no colourful images, only a few drawings in black and white. I felt as if I was holding in my hands a true gem from ancient times. And it was precisely that – over the ensuing nine years I picked up an infinite treasure.
Learning Latin aroused my love and passion for the Romance languages and formed the foundation upon which I built my professional life. Post-secondary courses in French and Spanish then followed with great enthusiasm for the charming and delicate melodies of French and for the expressive and vivacious Spanish.
And the flame continues to burn!
